Here at Conwy Valley Windows are not just experts in the design and installation of windows – we also provide a lot of our customers with all sorts of different types of doors. Every year we fit countless sets of sliding and patio doors, and thereby vastly improve the homes of a great many customers.
We have a wealth of experience in fitting patio doors and sliding doors, as many of our customers have extensions and conservatories which require doors which will be both great looking and practical. We believe that everything we do here at Conwy Valley should not only look fantastic, but perform fantastically too. If something doesn’t fulfill its function, it’s no good – regardless of how aesthetically pleasing it is. For this reason, we make sure that every door we design is made to the highest possible standards, and then fitted with the same scrupulous attention to detail.
The idea of patio doors is to provide a fluid transition between your home and your patio or garden area. Traditionally, most patio doors were either sliding or of the French variety, however, in recent years there has been an emergence of the bi-folding door. This latter example is rather ingenious and works by having two or more door panels fold against one another. For a more specific insight into this sort of door, you can visit our bi-folding doors page right here.
We can tailor your patio doors to your exact requirements
Here at Conwy Valley we appreciate that everyone’s home is different, as are everyone’s individual tastes. Our ultimate goal is to provide you with highly practical doors which will allow you to get in and out of your home very easily. We also appreciate that you will want your sliding or patio doors to be extremely aesthetically pleasing, which is why we have made sure that our designs are all-encompassing, as we want to be able to cater for every possible taste.
Whether you want the clean-looking white PVCu material used, or would like to incorporate a wood grain effect, we can do it for you. Many of our customers request that we design their patio doors so that they comply with the design schemes throughout the rest of their home. This is absolutely no problem – all you have to do is let us know exactly what you want and we’ll make sure that we stick strictly to your wants.
Here at Conwy Valley we like to include the customer as much as possible. After all, these are your doors at the end of the day, and it is of course you who is paying good money for them. We feel that it is our duty to make that you get precisely what you want, and we feel that the best way to do this is by closely consulting with you throughout the process. We also feel that keeping you in the loop is another way in which we offer great customer service – which we are very proud of.
There’s still most definitely a place for sliding patio doors
Despite the fact that French doors and bi-folding doors are becoming increasingly popular, sliding patio doors are still a great option for a large number of homeowners. They boast a number of advantages and well-made ones are extremely pleasing to the eye.
A sliding patio door requires just a PVCu frame and the rest of it is of course made up of glass – this takes up the vast majority of the door’s surface area. As a result, any home which has sliding doors fitted to it will enjoy an enormous amount of light – all year round.
A lot of the jobs we carry out are to do with extensions and conservatories – we do, of course, design and install conservatories as well as windows and doors. As a result, we have been able to observe the trends within the conservatory market and keep a close eye on what our customers want. Though bi-folding doors are quite understandably extremely popular, sliding doors still are as well. The former are great for customers who need to be able to open up their home as though they’re drawing back a curtain, but the latter are great for those who simply want a quick and easy way to get in and out of their conservatory (or extension), whilst allowing lots of light to come into the room.
The materials we use
All of our sliding and patio doors here at Conwy Valley are made out of the finest and most versatile materials out there. We use the best PVCu available, and as a result our doors are highly durable, energy efficient, easy to clean and maintain, and also of course very good looking. We think that there is no better material than good quality PVCu, as it allows us to get creative with out designs whilst always ensuring high practicality and quality.
Unlike traditional wooden sliding doors, our PVCu ones are not susceptible to warping or misshaping. In addition to this, PVCu does not rot like wood does. We appreciate that high quality wood which has been treated sufficiently will stand the test of time, but we believe that PVCu provides our customers with much more value for money.
We can even make our PVCu patio doors look like they are made out of wood if you would like – we understand that many people would like to keep their home looking classic and traditional. Our state of the art machinery can recreate a highly realistic wood effect, so that you can enjoy doors which look like they’re made out of wood, without you having to worry about their maintenance. A set of PVCu patio doors can be cleaned extremely easily and quickly – you can simply wipe them clean with a damp cloth and they’ll look as good as new.
A range of designs to choose from
Here at Conwy Valley we believe strongly in the idea that we should be able to offer our customers whatever they want. For this reason, we are extremely open to all sorts of design ideas – you just need to tell us what you would like, and we will do our very best to provide you with that design or one which is very similar.
Given that we will keenly correspond with you throughout the design and installation process, you can rest assured that you will always be kept up to date with regards to the design, and if we will always consult with you if we need to.
Many of our customers choose to go for the highly popular white PVCu design, as it can make a home look brighter, not to mention more neutral and clean. However, if you would like to go with another design, we can do that for you. We can provide you with PVCu patio doors which are coloured if you wish – all you need to do is ask us and we’ll see what we can do – or alternatively you may want to opt for a wood effect look.
If you have a period home and would like your patio doors to be in-keeping with the design scheme around the rest of the property, we can do that for you – it will be absolutely no problem.
Why you should choose Conwy Valley Windows
Here at Conwy Valley our one and only aim is to provide our customers with fantastic additions to their homes. Windows and doors are an essential part of any home which we all often take for granted – they can make or break both the aesthetic of the property and the comfort you enjoy within it.
We have a wealth of experience in the provision of superior quality windows and doors throughout North Wales and the surrounding area. We are based in the seaside town of Llandudno, so we really do appreciate the importance of windows and doors which perform their functions properly. The seaside is a glorious place in the summer, but during the winter it can prove extremely cold – we want to make sure that the energy efficiency of all of our customers’ homes are improved after we’ve been in to fit windows or doors.
The good quality PVCu sliding and patio doors we can provide you with will not only provide you with a great deal of light, but they will also ensure that no energy is lost unnecessarily in the winter. You pay good money to heat your home, and when you have doors – especially large ones such as patio doors – which are substandard, your money is going to waste. We want to help our customers enjoy much more energy efficient homes, and we believe that our patio doors are one of the ways in which they can do just that.
If you would like any more information on our sliding and patio doors, please do not hesitate for one second to get in touch with us. We are always happy to offer any customer advice or clarify anything which is unclear to them. We appreciate that there are so many options to choose from, and this can sometimes result in dilemmas and confusion. However, we believe that we’ll be able to steer you in the right direction and help you decide on the door set-up which is exactly right for you and your home.
If you have any questions at all or enquiries you’d like to make, just give us a call on 01492 550 120, and one of our highly friendly and extremely knowledgeable members of staff will be on hand to help in any way they can. If, on the other hand, you would like to correspond via email, you can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org – we will get back to you very quickly and just as pleasantly as if we were speaking on the phone or face to face.
Here at Conwy Valley we see ourselves as thought leaders in the windows, doors and conservatories trade, and we will always make sure that we strive to improve our services wherever and however we can.
Alternatives to sliding and patio doors
Over the last few years, bi-folding doors have increased steadily in popularity. The way they open is actually rather ingenious, and they are incredible when it comes to saving space. Unlike a set of sliding doors, bi-folding doors can be pretty much opened completely, in effect opening up the back of the home to the garden, so that there is a somewhat seamless transition between the two.
When a set of bi-folding doors are fully open, it becomes much harder to see where the home ends and the garden begins! During the summer, this can be absolutely glorious, as you’ll be able to, in essence, make your backroom a part of your garden. In the winter when they’re shut, you won’t have to worry about your home’s energy efficiency – they are extremely well-made and secure, and are just as energy efficient as any of our other PVCu doors.
For those who have a bit more space to work with, French doors can be the perfect option. Functionally they are much more straightforward than sliding or bi-folding doors, but here at Conwy Valley we believe that simplicity can be just as sophisticated as more complex systems can also be.
Our French doors are made from extremely high quality PVCu – like all of our patio doors – and will be more than up to the task of providing you with easy access in and out of the back of your home.
Whether you are looking to replace your existing French doors or are having them fitted for the first time, we relish the challenge and promise we will carry out the job in a thorough and professional manner.
