Our inventive and cutting-edge design team is always available for consultation and happy to offer transparent and friendly advice. We take enormous pride in our work, which we carry out with scrupulous attention to detail and quality, and believe there is no job we cannot complete to an exceptional standard.
Conwy Valley is dedicated to providing our customers and clients with the services required to transform their home into a dream abode. Whether it’s a brand new conservatory or a stunning bi-folding door that will make your home absolutely ideal, Conwy Valley is here help.
PVCu windows have a variety of plus points. They hugely improve your level of comfort at home, as they help to block out most of the sounds from outside, and can massively lower your energy bills – helping to prevent the heat that you pay for from escaping. Quite a high proportion of household heat-loss is caused by drafts which our PVCu windows could eliminate and save you hundreds of pounds per year.
PVCu windows look good, are easy to keep clean, extremely secure and more economical as they are pretty much entirely maintenance-free. Unlike wood, PVCu cannot decompose or lose its shape (except at very high temperatures). PVCu stands for ‘polyvinyl chloride unplasticised’, which is created by the conversion of natural materials, and it can be recycled for hundreds of years from now.
Our PVCu windows come in a wide range of colours and finishes, because we want to provide our customers with fantastic glazing, regardless of their different aesthetic tastes. We even use industry-leading technology which can incorporate wood grain effects on PVCu, for those who seek a more traditional look.
Despite the advantages of PVCu windows, Conwy Valley appreciates that some of our customers just prefer the look and feel of traditional wooden windows, and this is why we also offer a range of timber-framed windows.
Unlike some older wooden windows, ours are perfectly fit for their purpose and will not facilitate drafts – they are double-glazed, so you will experience the energy efficiency benefits that PVCu windows provide, whilst your home retains its classic look. All of our timber window frames are specially treated to keep them as impervious to the elements as possible, while also maximising their longevity.
Regardless of whether you need an old set of wooden windows replacing with our sturdier and better-glazed timber ones, or want to switch from PVCu to timber, we can do the job.
Windows with tilt-and-turn mechanisms are becoming increasingly popular. Their double-glazing means that you can retain heat in the winter months when they are kept closed, whilst in the spring and summer they allow for much more effective ventilation. If you like the idea of tilt-and-turn windows but are unsure, our design team can talk you through them and highlight their benefits.
Conwy Valley can implement new bay windows into your property just as easily as replacing your existing bay windows – we specialise in their installation. Bay windows have numerous advantages on top of increasing the value of your home, including letting in more light, allowing you more space, standing out visually and improving your view of the front of your property.
Many people confuse bay and bow windows for each other, or they are unsure of what sets the two apart. A bay window protrudes from your home’s outer wall, and includes additional floorspace, while a bow window has an extended windowsill and a gently curved shape.
Much like bay windows, bow windows also allow light to come in through more angles, and they also give you a bit more space on the windowsills and a better overall view of your front garden.
We are highly experienced in the installation and replacement of bow windows, and can guarantee a fantastic job.
Coloured Glass Windows
A lot of our customers find that our services for coloured glass windows perfectly suit their wishes to retain the original features of their property. Should they have a period stained glass window that they would like to keep, but which isn’t as energy efficient as they would like, Conwy Valley can help. We can install one of our coloured glass encapsulation units, which consists of two panes of glass being placed over the coloured glass pane. This, in effect, transforms the coloured glass into a triple glazed unit.
Because PVCu offers heat-retention and noise-cancelling benefits that most woods do not, they are the perfect material for house doors. Front and back doorways are two of most prolific parts of the house for allowing in drafts and letting out heat. Conwy Valley specialises in the installation of PVCu doors, so if you think it’s about time you switched from wooden doors and you want to save valuable heat, give us a call and we can give you a price quote.
They are really easy to clean and maintain, and there are lots of different colours and designs for you to choose from.
The ‘Monocoque’ reinforced fibreglass construction of our composite doors gives you the heaviness of a traditional wooden door, whilst eliminating all the hassle that comes with keeping it clean and maintaining it.
This creates a superior door – especially ours, which are about ten per cent thicker than most of the other composite doors on the market.
Of course, there are many colours and designs to choose from, and we can always try to accommodate any specific requirements you may have..
Bi-folding doors are becoming increasingly popular alternatives to the more established French and sliding doors. They allow you to open up the entire back of your house in one smooth slide, as each door folds against the next.
This is a fantastic option for summer, as it not only creates a seamless entry to your patio area and garden, but brings in lots of very welcome fresh air.
Sliding doors are ideal for those who want to let more light into their home and at the same time keep as much space free as possible. Our sliding doors are made of PVCu, meaning that they not only prevent heat from escaping during winter, but are extremely sturdy, practical and easy to keep clean. We have options to suit all budgets, so give us a call if you would like a free price quote.
French doors allow much more light into the back of your home, whilst simultaneously retaining heat when closed, which is invaluable during the winter. They are also fantastic for the warmer parts of the year, when they can provide marvellous ventilation and let lots of fresh air into the house. Our highly-experienced team can design and install French doors that perfectly complement and enhance your home. They can either be made of PVCu or composite materials – it is entirely up to you – and you can choose their colour and design from our wide variety.
Having seamless access to the back garden and patio is also highly desirable so, thinking long-term, having French doors installed can improve your home considerably.
Conwy Valley proudly designs and constructs the most innovative and bespoke conservatories available on the market, each of which are entirely unique and specific to the customer’s needs.
Our innovative design team apply their expertise to your exact wants and requirements to produce a conservatory that not only lets you enjoy your house more, but can increase its value.
No bespoke design or installation job is too big or too small for us and there are very few problems we cannot solve, so give us a call and tell us what you have always imagined as your dream conservatory so that we can work with you to make this dream come true. Whether you would like an ultra-modern conservatory or a classic one, we will listen to you and work with you to make your vision a glorious reality.
Garden Room Conservatories
Essentially, a garden room conservatory is one which further blurs the lines between your garden and your house – its aim is to let as much light in as possible with minimal brickwork. We can provide you with this by installing a conservatory into your home which is made up of more glass than your average conservatory, meaning it is much brighter and allows you to feel like you’re sitting in your garden even when weather does not permit.
Focusing on brighter colours and more square and symmetrical shapes than Victorian-influenced conservatories, Edwardian ones are more simplistic in design and very much suit those who want or need to maximise their space. They have been one of the most popular types of conservatories for decades and that will probably not change due to their timeless appeal and easy maintenance.
Influenced by the architecture of that era, Victorian conservatories are typically multi-faceted and are liberal in regards to their shapes as there is a focus on asymmetry.
Here at Conwy Valley we can design and build you a Victorian conservatory that gives your home some fantastic light and extra space. Perfect for dining and lounging alike, we will design you a conservatory which serves as a unique relaxation area.
A Conwy Valley porch can not only add extra space and value to your house, but character and class as well. We match the brickwork to the rest of your house so that it fits right in and looks the part. Then we roof it, install PVCu guttering and drainpipes and do the internal plastering.
If you require electricity points in your porch, we can do that, too – no problem. A porch is the first part of the house a guest or potential buyer will experience internally, so we put a lot of effort and thought into our designs in order to make sure that they make a positive first impression. Do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any queries or would like a price quotation.
We have garage doors of many types, designs and colours from which you can choose. We want to be able to provide you with a garage door that is in-keeping with – or at the very least complementary to – the rest of your home’s doors and windows.
Timber Garage Doors
Our gorgeous timber garage doors perfectly sum up the craftsmanship and attention to detail Conwy Valley proudly stands for. Their traditional and authentic look can really make your garage stand out and turn heads. You can chose from our selection of sleek and stylish brass and chrome handles, which complement them perfectly and put the proverbial icing on the cake.
GRP Garage Doors
‘GRP’ stands for ‘glass-reinforced plastic’ and is also known as fibreglass. It is a marvellous material for garage doors as it is heavy-duty whilst light in weight and is easy to clean and maintain.
We can give you any type of finish that you like, whether that is shiny, matte or wood-effect, and can also design ones with windows or imitation windows.
Steel Garage Doors
Guaranteed for ten years, our selection of steel garage doors are perhaps the most resilient we offer and also provide unbelievable value for money.
If you would like, we can implement a wood-effect finish if you want both practicality and traditional aesthetics, and as with all of our doors, you can pick from numerous colours and styles.
Everything you need to make your roofline area function properly and look magnificent, we can provide. Our skilled and experienced team of craftsmen will fit your fascias, guttering, soffits, cladding, bargeboards and downpipes with astounding aesthetic and – more importantly – quality and functionality.
We use PVCu because of its durability and resistance to the elements – with which it will come into much contact. An attractive roofline can make all the difference – with a new one you can remove any issues with upkeep or maintenance.
